How is the repayment amount calculated on sale?

Repay the same percentage of the sale price as originally borrowed. If you borrowed 20%, you repay 20% of the final sale price, not the original loan amount.

Can I repay the equity loan early?

Yes, via staircasing. Minimum repayment is 10% of the property value. You can make multiple part-repayments to reduce or eliminate the equity loan.
