For VF or pulseless VT after two defibrillation attempts: 5 mg/kg IV/IO rapid bolus. May repeat twice for a maximum of 15 mg/kg/day. Do not exceed 2.2 g/24 hours.

What are the key side effects of acute amiodarone infusion?

Acute infusion can cause hypotension, bradycardia, and QT prolongation. Administer with BP monitoring and have resuscitation equipment available. The Polysorbate 80 vehicle in the IV formulation contributes to hypotension.
