Annual 24-hour urine or plasma fractionated metanephrines from age 11–16 (RET codon dependent). Pheo occurs in 40–50% of MEN2A. Must be treated before thyroid surgery to prevent hypertensive crisis. Adrenalectomy preferred over alpha-blockade for established pheochromocytoma in MEN2.
