What is the prognostic significance of pSOFA score?

Higher pSOFA scores correlate with increased PICU mortality. A pSOFA of 2 or more in suspected infection meets the Pediatric Sepsis-3 criteria for organ dysfunction. Each 1-point increase in pSOFA is associated with significantly higher mortality risk.
