What does the MRSS measure?

The MRSS assesses skin thickness at 17 anatomical sites (fingers, hands, forearms, arms, face, chest, abdomen, thighs, legs, feet) using a 0–3 scale (0=normal, 1=mild, 2=moderate, 3=severe). Maximum score is 51.

What MRSS score indicates severe skin involvement?

MRSS >20 indicates severe skin involvement and is associated with worse prognosis in diffuse cutaneous SSc. It is the primary outcome measure in most SSc skin-targeted trials.
