What variables make up the DRAGON score?

DRAGON uses: hyperdense cerebral artery or early infarct on CT, modified Rankin pre-stroke, Age (>65), glucose level (>8 mmol/L), Onset to treatment (>90min), and NIHSS score (≥15 scores 2). Maximum 10 points.

How is the DRAGON score interpreted clinically?

Score 0–1: ~96% chance of good outcome. Score 2: ~85%. Score 3: ~70%. Score 8–10: miserable outcome (mRS 5–6) in 96% with no patients achieving good outcome. DRAGON helps identify patients likely to benefit most from tPA.
