What does the SLICC/ACR Damage Index measure?

The SDI measures irreversible, non-SLE-flare related organ damage accumulated since lupus diagnosis across 12 organ systems including renal, pulmonary, cardiovascular, and neuropsychiatric systems.

How is SLICC damage scored?

Each organ damage item scores 1 point (some score 2) if present for at least 6 months. The maximum score is 47. Higher scores correlate with increased morbidity and mortality.
