When does mitotic rate affect melanoma staging?

AJCC 8th no longer uses mitotic rate for T1b definition (removed from AJCC 8th). However, >=1 mitosis/mm2 remains a poor prognostic factor and may indicate SLNB discussion even for thin melanoma.
