Is it better to reduce strokes or time in SWOLF?

Both matter equally in the formula, but gliding too much to reduce stroke count at the expense of speed is counterproductive. The optimal SWOLF comes from a high distance-per-stroke combined with adequate stroke rate — technique and propulsive efficiency together.
