Fatigue Index (%) = ((Peak Power − Minimum Power) / Peak Power) × 100. Values of 40–50% are common in untrained individuals. Team sport athletes aiming for repeated sprint ability should target < 30%. Very high FI indicates poor anaerobic endurance.

Can you have a high peak power but also high fatigue index?

Yes. Sprinters may have peak powers of 1800+ W but fatigue indices of 50–60% because their fast-twitch fibre dominance provides extreme initial power but poor glycolytic endurance. Training for team sports requires improving both peak power and reducing fatigue index.
