ECG findings (QTc >=480ms=3pts, QTc 460-479ms=2pts, T-wave alternans=1pt, notched T-wave=1pt, low resting HR for age=0.5pt), clinical history (syncope with/without stress), and family history of LQTS or unexplained SCD <30yr.

How is the Schwartz score interpreted?

Score =3.5: high probability. Genetic testing is recommended in intermediate and high probability cases.

When was the Schwartz score last updated?

The original Schwartz score was published in 1985 and updated in 1993 and 2006. The 2011 HRS/EHRA/APHRS expert consensus and 2022 ESC guidelines continue to recommend it as a diagnostic aid.
